A historical day for the future of St. Thomas University, as we honored Gus and Lilliam Machado at a Hard Hat Luncheon in the new Gus Machado College of Business Building. Jimmy and I are both STU alumni and it was our distinct pleasure to present Mr. & Mrs. Machado with Jimmy Quiroga (R) Designs gifts incorporating Vintage Cuban Coins in a nod to their heritage and to the Cuban roots of the University.

What an amazing time with family and friends at the wedding of cousin Andrew Suarez and his gorgeous bride Diana! He is from a long line of Suarez gentlemen, including City of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and former Mayor Xavier Suarez. Jimmy Quiroga (R) Designs was honored to design and create the diamond engagement ring, very special and meaningful wedding bands and diamond stud earrings for the bride. Jimmy Quiroga to be honored at the Ronald McDonald House Charities 12 Good Men 2020 Luncheon. The recognition is for philanthropic efforts and service to the community. We have seen first hand how RMHC helps sick children and their families, especially kids with cancer, as we were blessed to serve as volunteers when our boys were little. Jimmy is shown here cooking at RMHC Miami in 2014.

For over 120 years the Quiroga family has manufactured fine jewelry for the industry and our private clients. It all began in Galicia, Spain and continued in Havana, Cuba and finally in Miami since 1960. This photo is of Jimmy’s family in their factory in Old Havana, Cuba.
