Gloria Estefan and her family celebrated Gloria's 50th birthday party with a 70's themed celebration in Miami. JIMMY QUIROGA ® DESIGNS was commissioned to create Gloria's jewelry. It was a spectacular leather necklace with 14K white gold and diamond charms. The necklace can also be worn as a bracelet, which is how Gloria chose to wear it on her big night. The piece was added to Gloria's collection of custom-made Jimmy Quiroga ® Designs jewelry.

The Hispanic Ballet of Miami, umbrella for the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami, a non-profit organization, held a fundraising reception at the Tower Theater in Miami. The First Annual Garza Awards were granted during the event, to honor community personalities for their outstanding support of the arts. A silent auction featured exclusive jewelry courtesy of JIMMY QUIROGA ® DESIGNS. The jewelry designs were a huge success resulting in significant donations to the organization.

JIMMY QUIROGA ® DESIGNS was featured in The Miami Herald Newspaper Tropical Life Section in their front page Feature Article Treasure Hunt. Beautiful photographs of the company's custom-made couture collection necklaces, as well as loose semi-precious stones used in the designs appeared on the front page.

JIMMY QUIROGA® DESIGNS was a featured jeweler for the 7th year in the Annual CubaNostalgia Exhibition which took place at the Florida International University Exposition Center in Miami, Florida. The company's Exhibit showcased One-of-a-Kind collectible pieces from the "Coin Collection" incorporating authentic Old Cuba coins into the company's signature designs. Also on display was the exquisite jewelry designed and manufactured by JIMMY QUIROGA® DESIGNS with Cuban Master Artist, Jose M. Mijares, which incorporate an enamel Medallion with a replica of one of his Masterpieces. The artist passed away in 2004 and a memorial presentation in his honor took place at the company's space during the event.

JIMMY QUIROGA® DESIGNS participated for the 5th year in the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged Casino Nights Event. The company donated pieces from its 2006 collection for the Silent Auction conducted during the fundraiser.

JIMMY QUIROGA® DESIGNS has designed and manufactured with celebrity Miami artist Carlos Navarro a pendant to benefit the Children's Cancer Fund of Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. The pendants are available for sale by the Fund and were featured at their First Annual Luncheon held on Friday, April 21st in Coral Gales, Florida. Additionally, the company donated an exclusively designed "Cluster Necklace" and "Cluster Bracelet" featuring genuine Old Cuban coins and White Freshwater Pearls which was auctioned at the event. Twenty other pieces of the JIMMY QUIROGA ® DESIGNS collection were showcased and all were purchased by bidders at the fundraiser.

The acclaimed Miami Children's Chorus presented its Spring Concert which was held at the Lincoln Theater on Lincoln Road, in Miami Beach on Sunday, April 2nd. JIMMY QUIROGA® DESIGNS was the featured jeweler at the event and has donated a "Circles Necklace" and matching "Circles Bracelet and Earrings" in Sterling Silver with Multi-Colored Freshwater Pearls and Murano Crystal Hearts.

JIMMY QUIROGA® DESIGNS for Lido Jewelry, Inc. has been selected as the Exclusive Jeweler at the prestigious La Gorce Country Club in Miami Beach, Florida. Numerous events throughout the year will highlight the jewelry pieces including fashion shows, luncheons and an evening fundraiser to be scheduled in the Summer months.
