It has been a tradition of over 15 years for Jimmy Quiroga (R) Designs to be the jewelry sponsor for the Jackson Holtz Childrens Hospital Guardian Angels Luncheon. This year, it was truly spectacular and larger than ever, held at the Fontainebleau Hotel Convention Center. Congratulations to our dear friend and client, Board and Committee Member Angela Andrade, and to the Holtz family for your commitment to the children and for a fabulous successful event!

I have no words to thank my dear friends for a beautiful birthday surprise! A group of strong, generous, kind and beautiful women, that I am honored to call my sisters. We laughed and spoke from the heart. These ladies form part of the fabric of Miami, as philanthropists, successful professionals, business owners, leaders in academia, community activists and so much more. Instead of gifts, all donations went to 305 Pink Pack, which provides support for women fighting breast cancer.

We are extremely proud and humbled by our younger son, Kevin, who is at the top of his class in second year at FIU Law School, and has been selected to the esteemed Negotiation and Mediation Team. Part of the Arbitration and Mediation Law Review, the team will compete in intramural, national and international negotiation competitions. Kevin has been negotiating contracts for the E-Sports teams he has represented over the years since he was 16 years old, and for the FIU Esports Program which he founded. He was also the recipient of the CALI Award for the highest grade in Contracts Law in his first year of Law School. Congratulations to all who made the team! Go Kevin! Go Panthers!

It was a distinct honor and privilege to be interviewed by CBS This Morning News correspondent Cristian Benavides for an upcoming segment for our nation’s 250th anniversary focusing on the Freedom Tower. The segment will include our good friend MDC President Madeline Pumariega, a Miami Historian, a longtime Freedom Tower Volunteer and a Cuban American exile, myself. Also highlighted was our donation of the JQ Freedom Tower Centennial Pins. So I was asked to tell my story of arriving in this country as a child and being processed at El Refugio, as it was called. Now it’s been dubbed the Ellis Island of the South. A very moving and meaningful experience. We will give an update when we know the date the interview will air!

The Pink Luminous Breast Advocacy Light Up the Night event was bigger than ever! The organization is dedicated to early detection of breast cancer and saving lives around the world, with missions to some of the poorest areas. Our CEO, Vivian Quiroga, Esq. was honored to receive the Hero Award for her contributions to this important cause. It was an emotional and memorable day at the ribbon cutting for the Grand Re-opening of the Miami Freedom Tower. Vivian Quiroga, Esq., our CEO was recognized at the event as a distinguished member of the Freedom Tower Inauguration Committee. Jimmy Quiroga (R) Designs was also recognized in one of the exhibits as a Cuban American success story, and for designing, creating and donating the Freedom Tower Centennial Pins. Libertad!
