A memorable night at the Exclusive Preview of the Renovated Freedom Tower! Last night, Miami Dace College President Madeline Pumariega, hosted the MDC Board of Trustees, MDC Foundation Board Members and the Freedom Tower Centennial Committee members for a preview of the tower. Jimmy Quiroga (R) Designs is featured in the exhibits as one of the Success Stories and is a proud sponsor of the Libertad freedom tower providing for each of the attendees a Freedom Tower Commemorative Pin. Our CEO, Vivian Quiroga, Esq. is Host committee member and is also featured as one of the 300 stories of Cuban Americans who were processed at the Freedom Tower. Thanks to the support of all of these community leaders, and that of so many others in our community, the Freedom Tower will continue inspiring Miami for generations to come!

Another generation of the Quiroga family is born! Jimmy and Vivian are beyond happy to announce the birth of their first grandchild. He is a beautiful baby boy, born to our son Jason the rocket scientist and his lovely wife, Jessica. Born July 23, 2025. His name is Benedict Gregory Quiroga and we call him Benny! They chose two spiritual names with lots of meaning. We are overjoyed and grateful to God for this incredible blessing!

If you happen to see a Rocket Scientist on billboards all over Miami, it’s our son Jason! Miami Dade College, who honored him with the MDC Alumni Hall of Fame Award, as one of the youngest recipients, has asked Jason to use his image as inspiration to future students! Those of you who know Jason, know he’s very humble and shy, but he couldn’t say no. We don’t have all the locations yet, but you’ll se Jason on a highway near you! So cool! Jimmy Quiroga (R) Designs was honored to design and create the Miami Freedom Tower Centennial Pin handcrafted in Sterling Silver and Enamel. It was an emotional job, as the tower, referred to as the Ellis Island of the South, processed Cuban American exiled arrivals in the 60's and 70's. We look forward to the historic Grand Re-opening on it's 100th Anniversary!

Our CEO, Vivian Quiroga, Esq. had the pleasure and honor to meet with two true power women whom we admire so much, our friends Florida International University President and former Lieutenant Governor of Florida Jeannette Nuñez and FIU Provost Dr. Elizabeth Bejar. It was an afternoon Cafecito at none other than the FIU Ronald W. Reagan Presidential House! Vivian is a member of the FIU President’s Council, and they discussed the bright future of FIU. Upcoming fundraising projects include FIU Casa Cuba, which Jimmy Quiroga (R) Designs, Jimmy, Vivian and younger son and FIU law student, Kevin, are proud supporters.

The Jimmy Quiroga (R) Designs Dade County Courthouse Pin was custom made to raise funds during the renovation of the historic courthouse in 2008. We donated the pins for the Board and large donors. rFast forward to now and the court is moving to a new glass state of the art building, leaving the historic landmark to become a museum. Showcasing the history of Miami, it is a very special place for our family. Our CEO, Vivian Quiroga, Esq. began her law practice at age 24 and as commercial litigator and employment lawyer she frequented the court and fell in love with it’s history as Cielito Lindo. Many years later, Jimmy Quiroga (R) Designs was asked to create the official pin in Sterling Silver, which was gifted to the largest donors and VIP’s of the restoration. Fast forward again, and our youngest son, Kevin, as a second year law student at FIU Law was able to be part of this history just a few months before it is vacated! A full circle moment!

In addition to his Court of Appeals Internship, this Summer, our son Kevin the law student also shadowed our dear friend and client Judge Peter Lopez at the historic Dade County Courthouse trial court in the 11th Circuit Court, and in the criminal court at the Richard Gerstein Judicial Building with Judge Christina Correa, providing valuable litigation experience. While at the Dade County Courthouse, we toured the restored main courtroom which was part of the extensive renovations in 2008 to preserve this historic Miami landmark. “Cielito Lindo” as it was called in it’s heyday, was the epicenter of courtroom action. Our CEO got her legal start there and Jimmy Quiroga ®️Designs played a crucial role in the fundraising efforts of the renovations with our donation of the custom made JQ Dade County Courthouse Pins. A huge thank you to these wonderful great friends and members of the bench for paying it forward to the next generation of lawyers including Kevin!

It’s been a very productive Summer for our youngest son, Kevin who is entering his second year at FIU Law School in a few weeks. It is a full circle moment following in his Mom’s footsteps, our CEO Vivian Quiroga, Esq. As an Judicial Intern to our longtime friend and client Appellate Judge Monica Gordo at the Third District Court of Appeals, Kevin has been doing legal research and writing for judicial opinions in a variety of cases. Another dear friend and client in the same court, Appellate Judge Bronwyn Miller has also helped him guide his career path with her tremendous experience. We want to give a huge thank you to all of these wonderful friends and members of the bench for paying it forward to the next generation of lawyers including our son Kevin!
